The Body // The Crying Out of Things

A primal scream of visceral looped shrieks and thundering drums, The Body’s latest plays like disembodied, warped club music from the depths of the tortured human psyche. Punishingly heavy, The Crying Out of Things makes for a listen that is equal parts disorienting, cathartic and empowering.

Highlights include the majority of the record’s first half, beginning with the one-two punch of “Last Things” and “Removal” and closing with the distorted banger “Less Meaning.”
