Danny Kuttner // Lilly
A tribute to her late grandmother, Lilly brings Danny Kuttner’s genre-blending sound to life. The album explores identity, grief, and emotional growth through a fusion of neo-soul, contemporary jazz, and electronic textures.
Opening with the Bon Iver-esque “Seeds,” the record eases in with acoustic intimacy and layered harmonies before finding its rhythm across a string of shimmering singles. “Friendzone” and “Growing Apart” pulse with quiet confidence, while “Big Mouth” feels almost playful, punctuated by lush reed stabs, lilting vocals, and an expressive melodic flow.
The sequencing feels natural and considered, guiding the listener from the stillness of loss and uncertainty to the warmth of renewal. As the second half unfolds, Kuttner’s depth as a songwriter and producer comes fully into view. The title track and “Your Secrets” are easy highlights, with their smoky vocal delivery and understated grooves revealing the emotional core of the album.
By the time “Videogame” fades out, Lilly feels like both a goodbye and a beginning - a texturally rich, deeply personal statement from one of Tel Aviv’s most compelling young voices.
